Consultant Fees
Private Obstetric Care in London
Please contact Jonathan’s secretary for details of fees for an integrated package of care. This is a fixed price package which reflects the need for 24-hour consultant availability and emergency cover, which is unique to obstetrics. There will be no additional fees for additional needs or if problems arise in the pregnancy that require a higher frequency of care.
Package includes:
All antenatal clinic appointments and care. Fetal assessment ultrasound scan at each appointment in the third trimester.
24-hour consultant availability for problems throughout your pregnancy.
Email and telephone support.
Consultant management of labour and delivery. (irrespective of mode of delivery)
Postnatal management of care in hospital.
Postnatal consultation six weeks following delivery.
Confirmation of your booking requires a deposit of 50% of the agreed fee. The deposit is required to be paid within seven days of the date of our invoice or by the 20th of week of your pregnancy, whichever is sooner. Any outstanding balances are due by the 34th week of your pregnancy.
Medical Insurance
Private Obstetric Care in London
Most UK insurance companies do not cover routine antenatal care and delivery and hence care is undertaken on the basis that Consultant fees are settled directly and in full on receipt of invoices. A proportion of the total fee can sometimes be reimbursed, and the team will be able to help with a medical report in such circumstances.
Some non-UK providers do cover the cost of private obstetric care but may ask for a breakdown of costs. This can only be provided after your delivery as we are unable to foresee your care needs over the course of your pregnancy or the nature of your delivery in advance of events. You will therefore be asked to settle the Consultant fees before any claim is submitted to your Insurance Company.

Ultrascan Scans
Most patients choose to have their scans at The Fetal Medicine Centre (FMC) or The Portland Hospital Outpatients. They can also provide NIPT, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) and Amniocentesis if required.

Scans required:
*Nuchal translucency and early anatomy assessment at 12 weeks
*A detailed anatomy assessment around 20-21 weeks
*Follow up fetal growth assessments are performed by Jonathan as part of his package of care.
